Yelllowstone to Idaho!

With bad weather keeping me off the rest of the Grand Teton peaks,

I spent a night and two days in Yellowstone,

dodging rain and slow flurries.

Then up and over the Teton Pass (much easier in a car), put Wyoming in the rear-view mirror, and we’re into Victor, Idaho, for a quick ‘n’ fun stop to see Hank and Susan Emerson’s daughter Jen and her Man of the Mountains, Eric. Jen and Eric live on a patch of God’s Country, at the foot of South Teton on the Idaho side, in a beauty of a house they built a couple years ago. What a great couple, what a view, what a sports-equipment closet, and what a life in the outdoors these two live! They are ready for anything, from skiing to snowboarding, lift-served or back-country, hot-springing, climbing and hiking, river rafting… you name it. I think this is what Hank would have done, had he not been so busy selling barrels and buckets back in the day. It’s not too late, Hanker!
